My dear Inner Wheel ladies of District 330, 

Greetings! 

I wish all of you a great start to 2023 and may we all be blessed abundantly with good health, joy, prosperity and success. Let there be peace in the world, in our homes and our lives! 

Six months have passed since I took over as Chairman of Inner Wheel District 330. It has been fun and exciting for me visiting clubs and also attending installations. The overwhelming welcomes and expressions of support shown extremely touched my heart. 

I felt personal satisfaction during my interactions with most of the members during my DC-visits and Club installations. I was so impressed with how very energetic, dedicated and involved most of them were with their club projects. Kudos ladies, as each and every one of you is doing very well. For the past 3 years, the pandemic has slowed down our activities and yet, some of the clubs has done some great and memorable projects. 

The 42nd District Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held on 24th September 2022 at Eastin Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, with Deputy National Representative Datin Dr. Ramani Subramaniam as our guest of honor. The event was organized by Immediate Past District Chairman Shamini Nair and International Inner Wheel Past Board Director (IIWPBD) Datin Seetha Lakshmi, not forgetting IIWPBD Datin Pearl Jai Mohan who helped us to get the venue with a very good discount for a whole-day event. We had about 116 participants in attendance for the AGM and we also had training sessions from 2pm to 4pm which about 70 participants attended. The training was conducted by the District Executive Committee with PowerPoint presentations. These two sessions went on well and smoothly. During the training, we had some discussions with clubs' committee members and they cleared their doubts, during the Q&A sessions. I would like to personally thank all my District Executive Committee members for doing a great job. 

After a long time, we in the District decided to have a fellowship dinner at the same venue and about 115 members attended. We had lots of fun during the fellowship night and a few clubs volunteered to put up performances. My sincere thanks to my home club, IWC Klang which organized the fellowship night. Our emcee for the night was District Editor Jillian Estrop who did an awesome job, making the night even more joyful. Thank you, ladies for all your commitment which made the night merrier. On the whole, it was an extremely successful event. 

By now all clubs would have received the emails to fill the form for District Executive Committee Nominations for the term 2023-2024, the closing date of which is 31st January 2023. Nomination forms for IIW Board Director for the term 2024-2025, closing 15th February 2023 have also been sent out. Presidents of the respective clubs, please do the needful and send all the nomination forms before the deadlines.

I am also looking forward for our celebration of the World Inner Wheel Day which will be held on 8th of January 2023 at The Royale Chulan Kuala Lumpur. I would like to thank IWC KLCC for hosting this event. District International Service Organiser (DISO) Catherine Govindarajoo and her committee has organized this beautiful fellowship and friendship celebration. Ladies, please block your dates for the International Women's Day (IWD) which will be held on 3rd-5th March 2023. My heartfelt thanks to PDE Padmini Pillai and her organizing team from IWC Alor Setar. 

I am happy to announce that International Inner Wheel (IIW) President Zenaida Farcon will be attending the IWD. The District would like to thank National Representative of Districts 330 & 331 Parimala Satheesan, for her assistance in planning an interesting itinerary during the IIW President's visit and giving a chance for as many members as possible to meet her on our shores. Let us all join our hands together and make this upcoming event a memorable one. We WORK WONDERS to fulfill the first Objective of Inner Wheel "TO PROMOTE TRUE FRIENDSHIP"

Warm Greetings to all the wonderful sisters of District 330!

It is an honour and privilege to be given the opportunity to lead District 330 as the 42nd District Chairman.

As we tend to begin this new Inner Wheel Year, I would like to extend my heartiest congratulations to all District Executives, Club Presidents and Executive Committee members on their appointments and wish all of you every success.

I would like to thank my home club IWC Klang for their support and all the clubs within the district for having confidence in that decision. I would also like to thank PDC Datin Sakunthalai who introduced me to the world of Inner Wheel. My gratitude goes out to IIWPBD Datin Seetha who has encouraged, groomed and supported me throughout my entire 18-year journey. Not forgetting NR Parimala who welcomed me into the District for the very first time as District Editor and from whom I learned a lot and twice as District Secretary under the leadership of PDC Sakunthalai and PDC Shanti. I’m also grateful to IIWPBD Datin Seetha for agreeing to be my advisor.

My deepest appreciation goes to my talented District EXCO, who came forward to serve the district with me.

I’m looking forward to work wonders with all of you.

The District goals have remained consistent for the past two terms with the International Inner Wheel project which is “STRONG WOMEN STRONGER WORLD” and the International Inner Wheel President Zenaida Farcon has chosen a beautiful theme of ‘’WORK WONDERS’’ for her 2022/23 term. We women have the ability to Involve, Inspire and Illuminate Inner Wheel to Work Wonders. Let us leverage on our collective energy, passion and desire to change lives for the better. Together we will work efficiently and productively to touch many hearts and be a gift to the community and the world at large.

My dear friends, the District officials will contact you from time to time for documents or information and please do cooperate with them and do work together with the district. Please do not hesitate to call me whenever you need to clarify your doubts.

The pandemic has made our lives more digital for the past two years, and I’m hoping for the best that I’ll have my physical DC visits this year. We have plans to conduct training sessions with all the Clubs office bearers.

Let us continue to uphold the Ideals of Inner Wheel. STRONG WOMEN WILL WORK WONDERS TO BUILD A STRONGER WORLD!
