ONE TREE CAN START A FOREST;
ONE SMILE CAN START A FRIENDSHIP;
ONE HAND CAN LIFT A SOUL;
ONE WORD CAN FRAME THE GOAL;
ONE CANDLE CAN WIPE OUT DARKNESS;
ONE LAUGH CAN CONQUER GLOOM;
ONE HOPE CAN RAISE YOUR SPIRITS;
ONE TOUCH CAN SHOW YOU CARE;
ONE LIFE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Imagine what the INNER WILL of many CAN DO TOGETHER?

It has been an eventful few months for most clubs and the District with all the events and projects that have been put into action for the Goals planned. In addition, it has also been a transition year administratively with changes made in our District Bye laws which have all been approved by the authorities.

I have had the pleasure of visiting 17 of the 22 clubs in District 330. It was great to have had the opportunity to meet members on a personal level and have a hands-on experience on some of the projects carried out by the clubs Must say it has indeed been a learning curve for me to see the varied expectations clubs have on "How can the District help You?"

Having taken on the responsibility of District Chairman with a Vision to equip and assist clubs make an impact in their local community through focussed Service projects while encouraging Inter-club Fellowship, I sincerely hope steps have been taken in this direction.

At this juncture we have also had the pleasure of meeting the IIW President Phyllis Charter during her visit to our District to celebrate World Inner Wheel Day in Taiping. It was indeed an honour to get to know her and her husband PDG Paul Charter, a very down to earth couple.

My heartfelt thanks to IWC Taiping for volunteering and taking on the challenge to organise World Inner Wheel Day successfully. Kudos ladies. If there's a WILL, there's always a way. The District would also like to express our thanks to National Representative Juanita Lee for having assisted to plan an interesting itinerary during the IIW President's visit to cater for other projects and giving a chance for as many members to meet her on our shores.

As we are about to venture onto the remaining months of Inner Wheel Year 2019-2020, the District looks forward to hearing from you on your Green Project efforts.

My dear friends, as you continue your year, allow me to remind you:

Without the team, the leader would never be successful.
Without a good leader the team would fail. Both need each other. And each person on the team need one another as well.

BEING RICH, BEING POPULAR,
BEING HIGHLY EDUCATED OR
BEING PERFECT ...

IT IS ABOUT BEING REAL,
BEING HUMBLE,
BEING ABLE TO SHARE OURSELVES AND
TOUCH THE LIVES OF OTHERS

There comes a time in all our lives when we seek that meaning to our lives. This may then be the guiding factor that prompts us to join organisations like the Inner Wheel. Whatever may be your reason, take note that you are in a good place now, by being a member of this great organisation INNER WHEEL; thus the District theme,

"Inner Wheel with an Inner Will"

In being REAL, the District 330 Team for 2019-2020 is excited to roll out our 3 Vision Programmes with the sole intention of being there for the Clubs:

1)   InnerWheel Care and Educate (ICE)

• This programme targets promising children aged 15-19 who come from underprivileged families providing financial assistance and personal mentoring support.
• It helps develop their potential to be the best they can be and in the process nurture good citizens amongst the mentee and mentor.

2)   InnerWheel Youth Leadership Award (IYLA)

• Intention is to build Leadership skills amongst the Youth and Inner Wheel members.
• To cultivate interest in the youth on Inner Wheel Ideals and Objectives and motivate them to join this organisation and ensure continuity.

3)   Environment: BLUE + YELLOW = GREEN

• BLUE and YELLOW, the colours of Inner Wheel, ironically when mixed gives you none other than GREEN, thus a friendly competition on an Environment or Green Project.
• We should never forget that we have JUST BORROWED this Planet from our children and their children. Let's be creative on how we leave it behind and keep it going for the future generations.

By being HUMBLE, we recognise that there's only so much one can do alone. However TOGETHER WE CAN do so much more.

The District Team is here with outstretched hands to SHARE and work with you and TOUCH the lives of those where we can make a difference.
