My dear Inner Wheel Friends,

Deepavali Greetings My warm wishes to all. Happy Deepavali to all my Hindu friends. The word ‘Deepavali’ literally means ‘A path of light’. I wish all of your lives to be illuminated by friendship and happiness.

Let there be, Light over Darkness and Good over Bad. In the past, Deepavali meant new clothes and sweets. Now, we can have new clothes and sweets any time of the year. We have progressed with the country and we now have more financial freedom as compared to the past. Today, the important part of Deepavali is the family reunions. Enjoy your time with family and friends.

27th of November is Thanksgiving Day. Say thanks to all the people who matter to you in your life.

At the end of this month, 30th November 2013, we will be in Ipoh to welcome our youngest club to the District, Inner Wheel Club Ioras, Ipoh. They will be our club No.18. Please attend their Charter Installation and come and meet our young, energetic and enthusiastic friends.

I have already completed my visits to 9 clubs. I have enjoyed all those visits and I have felt most welcomed. You are all doing very good and meaningful projects. I will be visiting IWC Mutiara and IWC Seremban this month.

Our friends in District 331 are working very hard organizing the Joint District AGM which will be held in Singapore from the 21st of March to the 23rd of March 2014. The registration forms are already out and I believe all the clubs would have already received them by now. They have planned an exciting weekend for us. I hope to see all of you there.
