Club Meeting and Christmas celebration fellowship
On 16th December 2023, sixteen members of IWC Butterworth, with a member’s child in tow gathered at the home of IW District 330’s Editor Lucy Barrock to attend the last general club meeting of the year, celebrate Christmas 2023 and cut a cake to observe Inner Wheel’s 100th Anniversary.
Members who gamely donned X’mas headgear, brought along their favourite tea time snacks which were relished after the meeting and cake cutting ceremony. Drinks of mixed fruit juice and President Shanthi’s Masala tea were free-flowing to wash it all down.
There was enthusiastic participation in the interactive games which had everyone in stitches at times. Attractive prizes were given away to the winners and a Christmas gift exchange was organised as the grand finale of the gathering.
The ladies had an enjoyable time catching up with one another and there was much laughter as they teased one another while posing for photographs. The club’s WhatsApp chat group was lit up with messages of thanks and photographs of unwrapped gifts for quite a while afterwards.
