District Kamala A. Yeap’s official visit
On November 19th, 2023, the IWC of Penang and IWC Pearl of Orient jointly welcomed District Chairman Kamala A. Yeap to their clubs’ meeting held at Chettiar’s Tiffin Cafe. This marked District Chairman Kamala’s official visit to both clubs on the island, accompanied by District Secretary Jillian Estrop and District Editor Lucy Barrock. The meeting saw the presence of 15 members from IWC Penang and 6 members from IWC Pearl of Orient. Additionally, IWC Penang extended an invitation to guest Valerie, a potential new member.
During the meeting, District Chairman Kamala urged active participation from the members and encouraged them not to hesitate to take prominent roles within the clubs. She motivated the ladies to set high aspirations, progressing from key positions within the club to district-level roles. The session was followed by a Q & segment from the floor. Both clubs presented District Chairman Kamala with a memento as a token of appreciation, concluding the meeting. To cap off the event, everyone enjoyed a delightful lunch at the cafe.
