Inner Wheel Club of Taiping (IWCT) together with Pertubuhan Wanita  Ikhlas Taiping Perak (PWIT) members attended the anti sexual harassment advocacy program at Casuarina Hotel, Ipoh on 5th October 2023.

 

Dato’ Sri Hajah Nancy Binti  Shukri, Minister of Women Development, Family and Society(KPWKM) has completed the inauguration Ceremony of Jerayawara Kasih KPWKM@ anti-sexual harassment advocacy in 11 states.

 

The program was held to provide exposure, knowledge and disseminate the use of guidelines and anti sexual harassment to the community. Among the highlights of the itineraries were

 

1. Advocacy briefing by the Women’s Development Department
2. Briefing on handling sexual offenses against women by Royal Malaysian Police.
3. Briefing on handling sexual harassment cases in Higher Education Institutions.

 

About 2680 participants from schools, higher institutions and women NGOs attended the event. It was an informative and enlightening program. Women must stop normalizing and say STOP to any form of sexual harassment.
