The “Casino Royale Bond Girl” themed Installation Night of Kelab Inner Wheel of Johor Bahru was held on 16th September 2023 at Marina Seafood Restaurant Johor Bahru.
The evening began with charismatic MC Latha Pillay’s warm welcome of the distinguished Inner Wheel members from District 330, District 332 and all guest present. It was a pleasure to have District 330 President and Secretary to grace the event.
This was followed by Roll Call, Lighting of Candle, recitation of Friendship Poem, loyal toast and cake cutting ceremony. Inspiring speech by District Chairman Kamala Yeap kept the members and guests stay focused.
Charter President Sumathi introduced President Amy in her short speech followed by a concise PowerPoint slide about her. The Regalia was passed on to President Amy by Charter President Sumathi. This was followed by President Amy Nair’s speech where she was thankful for the support given by Charter President, family and friends. After which President presented her new exco and new members with their badges.
The scrumptious dinner was interspaced with President Amy’s daughter Natalie’s melodious singing, a fashion show by club members who were dressed in elegant clothes designed by The Ocean and a Zumba session.
Lucky draw and games with “Bond trivia” questions were also conducted. Prizes were also awarded to the best dressed woman and man. The evening culminated with energetic dance numbers that drew guests to the dance floor. No matter where we looked, each corner of the room members and guest were dancing with different styles of dance and having a good time.
The vision and meticulous planning of Organising Chairman Santhi Kathiresan with her vibrant team have been instrumental in orchestrating every aspect of this event seamlessly.
