A story of animal rescue
Inner Wheel Club of Subang Selangor

It was an article in the local newspaper that prompted IPP Indira Menon to track down Fauziah of Fauziah Care Paws. The article described a nightmare situation for a large number of stray dogs that had been rounded up and placed in the most inhumane conditions in a pound owned by the council. It was beyond cruel as they were found in packed cages without food or water causing the death of many.
Fauziah took it upon herself to save 98 of these dogs and place them in safe shelters. This required generous donors and rallying of animal lovers to financially support her endeavour. Inner Wheel Club of Subang, Selangor extended financial help towards providing food and medicines for these poor animals.
The club donated 2500 RM to Fauziah to ease her burden and to acknowledge her compassion towards animals. A lot still needs to be done and she has taken on an ongoing task. The club appreciates her work and hopes that people in Malaysia will rise to the occasion and continue to support her. The poor puppies are in dire need of cages. Fingers crossed that good Samaritans out there will help to keep them safe.
