Financial assistance to 3 secondary schools in Kuala Lumpur

There is a saying, ’Education is the greatest gift one can bestow onto another’. This is one tenet that is very close to the hearts of the members of the Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur (IWCKL). With this in mind, and also to aid those families severely affected by the fallout from the Covid 19 pandemic, IWCKL earmarked 3 secondary schools in Kuala Lumpur to give some financial assistance to, with the hope to help alleviate their burden.
This project was coordinated by Past President Datin Jangir who invited Puan Pauline, Puan Noorashikin and Ms Yahmuna Mohan, from SMK Jinjang, SMK Vivekananda Brickfields and SMK (Perempuan) Pudu, respectively to attend the club’s General Meeting for the cheque presentation.
Each school was allocated RM1500, in which RM 150 will be handed to 10 of their most financially-challenged students. IWCKL earnestly hopes that this little token will help in a small way to purchase their pressing needs.
IWCKL was honoured to have its Honorary Member, Toh Puan Aishah Ong grace the occasion and to present the cheques to these educators. The teachers extended their heartfelt thanks to President Jinny Lum and IWCKL, for this wonderful gesture and for the club’s continued support throughout the years.
To IWCKL, a child without education is like a bird without wings. To more such projects involving education in future.
