Back to school assistance – Mentari Flats

The national schools are finally opened. With the long-drawn pandemic, the financial standing of most of the low-income group still remain bleak. Getting their children back to school can be a great burden.
IPP Shanty Chandran was approached by families living there for support for some 35 students of the Mentari Flats and the club decided in getting them uniforms. The Club was fortunate to have the support of Sathya Sai Educare Academy who sponsored the cost of the uniforms.
Some of the members accompanied the said students to an apparel shop, Mixer near Mentari Flats. Members assisted them by measuring and getting the right fit for the students. It was certainly very gracious of Mixer’s owner to give a substantial discount. The students soon were set for the new academic year.
The Club extends its sincere appreciation to the Sathya Sai Educare Academy and the owner of Mixer for their generous contributions.
Students and parents are looking forward with much hope and expectation that the 2022 academic year is not disrupted.
