The continued MCO 3 is not easy for Malaysians as well as immigrant workers, though it is necessary to bring down the high numbers of COVID-19 cases.  There is another sector who is in hardship, namely the refugees who have fled their home country and seeking asylum.  Though they come under the purview of UNCHR, these refugees receive hardly any financial assistance and with no work permit, they work for daily wages doing odd jobs.  These jobs are almost non-existent during the MCO.

We have supported and brought cheer to some 20 families of Pakistani refugees staying in Kajang.  Recently through one of our members, we have being getting donations of rice, dried noodles, sugar and vegetables from Cameron Highlands. We have organised these items to be delivered to these Pakistani families.

We hope that we continue to receive food donations so that it can be channelled to the needy.  Let us all work to see that no one goes hungry.
